Wash Separately
Wash your blanket on its own, or with similar soft fabrics. Avoid towels, denim, and anything with zippers or Velcro, which can snag or damage the plush fibers.
Cold Water Only
Machine wash on a gentle cycle in cold water. High heat can permanently damage minky fibers and reduce their softness.
Mild Liquid Detergent
Use a gentle, dye-free liquid detergent. Never use bleach, and avoid any detergent that contains fabric softener.
Never Use Fabric Softener
Fabric softener coats the fibers, reducing the luxurious softness that makes minky blankets so special.
Air Dry or Low Heat
For best results, air dry your blanket. If you use a dryer, tumble on the lowest heat or air-fluff setting only — never medium or high heat.
Do Not Iron or Dry Clean
High heat can permanently flatten or damage the plush minky fibers.
